This Is Us

A family home, made by a family

We're a family of four — two parents, two small kids, and (often) grandma along for the ride. Kalada is the house we built for exactly that: the kind of holiday where the grown-ups actually get a break. While the little ones splash in the pool with their cousins, someone can slip off for a swim in the sea, a coffee in Zadar's Old Town, or just a nap. Then everyone's back together for dinner on the terrace. This isn't a polished luxury villa — it's our family home, and we want you to feel that from the moment you arrive.

What Makes Kalada Different

Two homes under one roof

Kalada is called a villa because it has two full floors — but really, it's two separate homes joined by one big garden and pool. The ground floor and first floor each have their own 2 bedrooms (2 beds each), 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and spacious terrace. That means grandparents can have their own space upstairs (or downstairs), parents and kids have theirs, and everyone still shares the pool, the yard, and the evenings together. Spend the day side by side — then close your own door when you need to.

A real village, not a resort

Kalada sits in a small, peaceful village about 15 minutes from Zadar and 15 minutes from Nin — close enough for a day out, quiet enough to actually rest. The house is fairly new (built 2020/21) with modern furnishings throughout, and we've put real care and investment into the garden and pool area. But we're honest about what this is: a family home in a village, not a five-star resort. If that's not for you, there are polished luxury villas elsewhere that charge for the privilege of never seeing a bug. If it is for you, we think you'll love it here.
